Welcome to Silver Snail Jewellery. These terms and conditions govern the terms and conditions of workshops set in a public venue (i.e. those organised by Silver Snail Jewellery which members of the public can attend). By placing a workshop order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Booking and Payment
All workshop places must be booked in advance through the website or approved booking platform. A place is confirmed once full payment has been received.
Places are limited and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
By completing a booking you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
Cancellations by Customers
If you need to cancel your place, please contact me as soon as possible.
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop may be transferred to another available workshop date.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the workshop are normally non refundable, as materials and preparation will already have been arranged.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another person with prior notice.
Cancellations by the Host
In the unlikely event that a workshop must be cancelled or rescheduled due to illness, insufficient bookings, or circumstances beyond my control, you will be offered either:
- a transfer to another workshop date
- or a full refund
Liability is limited to the cost of the workshop booking.
Workshop Participation
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided during the workshop. Jewellery workshops involve the use of tools and equipment, including items that become hot during the firing process, so reasonable care must be taken at all times and participants must be able to work safely with small tools and follow the guidance given. I reserve the right to refuse participation or ask a participant to leave if behaviour is unsafe or disruptive, or if it presents a safety risk to themselves or others.
Age Requirements
Workshops are intended for adults unless otherwise stated. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Intellectual Property
Participants are welcome to keep and use the jewellery pieces they create during the workshop. Workshop designs and teaching materials remain the intellectual property of the workshop host and may not be reproduced for teaching purposes without permission.
Materials and Finished Pieces
All materials needed for the workshop are included unless stated otherwise. Jewellery created during the workshop is made using fine silver clay and fired using specialist equipment. The behaviour of silver clay during drying, firing, and finishing can vary and natural changes may occur including shrinkage, warping, cracking, or breakage. While every effort is made to guide participants and achieve successful results, finished pieces cannot be guaranteed. Silver Snail Jewellery cannot accept responsibility for material changes or breakage that occur during the making or firing process. As each piece is handmade, the finished result may vary. The focus of the workshop is learning techniques and creating your own unique piece.
Damage to Tools and Equipment
All tools and equipment provided during the workshop must be used responsibly. Participants may be liable for damage caused by misuse or negligence.
Arrival Time
Please arrive on time so that the workshop can begin safely and smoothly. Late arrival may mean missing important safety instructions.
Allergies and Health
If you have any allergies, medical conditions, or accessibility requirements that may affect your participation, please let me know in advance so that I can advise appropriately.
Liability
Participants attend workshops at their own risk. While every effort is made to provide a safe environment we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where required by law.
Photography
Occasionally photographs may be taken during workshops for website or social media use. If you would prefer not to appear in photographs, please let me know.
Contact
If you have any questions about a workshop booking, please contact me before booking.
